Ebony Carter is a multi-media artist from Oakland, CA living in the Pacific Northwest.

 

Ebony’s art is heavily influenced by her interest in human emotion, instrumental music, global culture, design and wholistic healing. Drawing inspiration from her interest in mindfulness Ebony’s work represents self-awareness. Her art attempts to capture what it feels like to be present and honest about what is happening in our internal landscapes. Ebony creates art under the name h_e_r_e_n_o_w, each artwork is a practice and a daily mantra to stay grounded and honest as we navigate our human experience. 

 

Leaning into her knowledge and love of graphic design Ebony creates bold line illustrations with a minimal color palette. Although she primarily creates digital illustrations she enjoys exploring clay, pen and ink, photography and collage.
